This article is part of a larger guide on how to correctly configure Bookeo on your website. If you are looking for the complete guide please click here.

The following will walk you through setting up a "Value" variable in Google Tag Manager. This is incredibly important for the Bookeo setup because this allows you to capture the value of the transaction to send elsewhere.

To start navigate to the Variables section in Google Tag Manager and select "New".

You will then see a blank new variable panel. Click the "Variable Configuration" box to choose the variable type.

Select the "Data Layer Variable" for variable type.

Then, fill out the following options as follows:

  • Name: value
  • Data Layer Variable Name: eventModel.value

Then hit save!

If you are following along in our "Bookeo Escape Room Integration Guide" then the next step is to configure the GA4 Measurement ID variable. You can access the next step by clicking here!

Sneak Peak - this variable will be used when firing tags (such as Begin Checkout) and passing the value of the transaction.
